The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), in cooperation with the International Education Programs, organized the Second Team Sports Championship and Swimming Championship for International Schools, held on October 11 and 21, 2026, at the sports fields of the Academy’s main campus in Abu Qir, Alexandria, with the participation of eight international schools comprising approximately 200 female students.
The participating schools include the Academy School, Modern School, Al Zahraa School, Dream School, Al Quds School, Merdi Dieu School, Smart School, and Alexandria Language School.
This championship is organized as part of the Academy’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with international schools, encouraging students to participate in sports activities, and fostering a spirit of positive competition and teamwork, thereby contributing to the development of well-rounded athletic personalities among students.
The first day is dedicated to girls’ competitions, while the second day is allocated to boys’ competitions. The team sports competitions include the following sports:
Football.
Basketball.
Volleyball.
The championship is held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Meguid Khalaf, Director of Sports Departments.
This championship highlights the active role played by the Academy in supporting school sports activities and providing an outstanding sporting environment that contributes to discovering promising talents, developing students’ abilities, and strengthening sports communication and cooperation among international schools. It also supports the promotion of sports culture and reinforces the values of fair competition.
