The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) hosted the Special Abilities League (Paralympics Day) on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Main Campus in Abu Qir.
The event featured the participation of Future Club Alexandria and Damanhour Club for Persons with Disabilities, with competitions held in several sports, including:
Football
Volleyball
Basketball
Swimming
Athletics
Table Tennis
The Academy prepared the sports facilities to the highest standards and provided an ambulance and a golf cart to ensure the safety of all participants and create a suitable environment for hosting this distinguished sporting event.
The competitions witnessed strong performances and an enthusiastic sporting atmosphere characterized by determination and a spirit of challenge, reflecting the players’ perseverance and commitment.
At the conclusion of the day, the winners were honored and presented with commemorative medals in recognition of their outstanding participation and commitment to the spirit of sportsmanship.
Following the event, supervisors and players expressed their great happiness with the occasion, emphasizing that the day would remain a memorable experience, particularly in light of the care and support they received within this distinguished institution, a leading educational and administrative landmark in the Middle East.
The event also reflected the Academy’s prominent social and humanitarian role, particularly in supporting charitable and community activities, in accordance with the instructions and directives of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of AASTMT.
