Internal Sports Activity 2025/2026

The activities of the Sports Day for female students will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Al-Nosour Club in Sheraton. The events will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Sports Activities Competitions at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Heliopolis Campus

The sports activities competitions were held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Heliopolis Campus, at the International Transport Complex. The competitions included PlayStation, Table Tennis, Volley Football, Physical Fitness, and BB Foot.

The winners of the first places were honored at the theater of the College of Language and Media.

The event was attended by:

•             Dr. Dalia Younes, Vice Dean of the College of International Transport for Student Affairs.

•             Dr. Hanan Alaa El-Din, Vice Dean of the College of Management for Student Affairs.

•             Dr. Shady Abdel Fattah, Head of the Internal Sports Activities Department.

Swimming Friendly Match

A friendly swimming match was held between the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Heliopolis Campus Swimming Team and Heliopolis Sporting Club, as part of the Academy team’s preparations for the Fifth Sector Championship and the Egyptian Universities Championship.

The event was attended by 25 male and female students from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

College of Computing Sports Day Activities

Sports Day activities were held for the students of the College of Computing at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Heliopolis Campus, in the presence of:

•             Dr. Shady Abdelaziz, Director of the Sports Affairs Department in Cairo.

•             Dr. Ahmed Dahroug, Vice Dean of the College of Computing.

•             Dr. Menna Kamel, Head of the Educational Departments.

•             Dr. Faheema Maghraby, Vice Dean of the College for Postgraduate Studies.

•             Dr. Ahmed Salem, Head of the Quality Unit.

The day featured an honoring ceremony for the Future Leaders – Students of the College of Computing Students’ Union, in recognition of their efforts and dedication in ensuring the success of the event with great enthusiasm and passion.

Sports Day activities were held for the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Dokki Campus, at Al-Nosour Sporting Club.

The day featured a wide range of sports activities and team competitions, along with special entertainment segments aimed at developing the spirit of teamwork and promoting positive interaction among students, in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, joy, and fun.

Inauguration of the Five-a-Side Football Pitch at AASTMT’s Smart Village Campus

The event was attended by H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Dr. Shady Abdelaziz Mohamed, Director of the Sports Affairs Department in Cairo, Dr. Saleh Issa, Dean of Student Affairs at Smart Village, as well as representatives of the Academy’s administrative leadership and the Deans of the Colleges at the Academy’s Smart Village Campus.

The five-a-side football pitch at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport’s Smart Village Campus was officially inaugurated in a distinguished atmosphere that reflected the Academy’s continued commitment to developing its sports infrastructure and supporting student activities, contributing to the development of a well-rounded generation both physically and academically.

The inauguration of the pitch comes as part of the Academy’s commitment to providing an integrated educational environment that combines academic excellence with sports activities. The new pitch represents a valuable addition to the student activities system, contributing to fostering a spirit of competition and teamwork among students, while also helping to discover and develop sporting talents.

This new sports facility also represents an important step toward supporting the internal and external sports events and championships organized by the Academy, further strengthening its position as one of the leading higher education institutions in promoting and supporting sports activities at the university level.

At the conclusion of the event, emphasis was placed on the continued support and development of sports facilities across the Academy, in line with the latest standards and serving students across various fields, in recognition of the importance of sports as an essential component in building a well-rounded personality.
