Two-tournament conference The Arab Academy hosts the launch of the U-15 Youth World Championship and the first Arab Modern Pentathlon Championship On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the press conference was held for the launch of the world Modern Pentathlon Championship for youth under 15 years and the first Arab Championship for teams and clubs, hosted by the Arab Academy for science, technology and maritime transport in Alexandria. The competitions of the two tournaments will last from August 13 to 17, with the participation of more than 350 players representing 26 countries. The conference was attended by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of youth and sports, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan, governor of Alexandria, Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, president of the Arab Academy, Eng.Sherif El-Erian, president of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Union and vice president of the International Federation, Eng. Walid Khalil, president of the Arab modern pentathlon Union, captain Ismail Musa, president of the North African Modern Pentathlon Union, and Mr. Nasser Al-Walid, vice president of the Arab modern pentathlon Union. Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of youth and Sports, announced that Egypt will host the world Modern Pentathlon Championship for youth under 15 years and the first Arab Championship for teams and clubs, which will be held at the headquarters of the Arab Academy, pointing out that Egypt's hosting of the two championships reflects its position on the global sports map, and its ability to organize major events, stressing that the support of the political leadership made Egypt the kiss of international tournaments and events, and that the tournaments are an opportunity to discover talents and enhance Arab and international cooperation. "Sobhi added that Egypt has become a destination for organizing international sporting events according to a strategic plan and vision since a year ago 2018 namely, that Egypt should be an International Center to host these events on its soil, which resulted in Egypt's success in organizing43 a global event . The minister of youth and sports appreciated the ability of the Arab Academy to host many important events in various fields, pointing out that he attended several days ago the conclusion of the competitions of the Egyptian programming competition for university youth and today he is attending the press conference on the launch of the world Modern Pentathlon Championship for youth under15 year and the first Arab Championship for teams and clubs for modern pentathlon, registering his thanks and appreciation to the Arab Academy for science, technology and Maritime Transport headed by His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag . He added that the Arab Academy is a partner in sponsoring Egyptian sports, thanks to its support for sports champions, in addition to the capabilities of the headquarters and various branches in hosting international sports tournaments. The governor of Alexandria pointed out that Egypt can declare itself to be a unique and distinguished sports country, stressing that the Egyptian state has a strong infrastructure and young people qualified by the state to lead the world centers of all Championships. Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan, governor of Alexandria, added that the launch of the new sports law for federations and clubs, followed by the National Training Strategy, indicates that there is a methodology led by the Ministry of youth and sports with an insightful vision stemming from the vision of Egypt 2030 . It was a distinction witnessed by everyone, culminating in winning the award of the best marketing Championship at the world level in modern pentathlon, becoming the Academy officially the world record holder as the first university to organize this number of World Championships, in an unprecedented achievement in the history of world sports. He pointed out that the main mission of the Academy is to qualify young people with science, knowledge and skills to become future leaders. The first Arab Championship for U-15 national teams and clubs will be held with the participation of 79 male and female players from 6 countries: Egypt, Kuwait, the Emirates, Libya, Syria and Sudan.
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the first Arab Modern Pentathlon Championship for national teams and clubs kicked off, hosted by Egypt at the stadiums of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Abu Qir, Alexandria.
Today witnessed the men's and women's singles final.
The competitions began with the women's singles final obstacle race, followed by the swimming competition and then the laser ring.
Then the men's singles final began with a steeplechase race, then swimming, and finally the laser rang.

The curtain has fallen on the competitions of the first Arab Championship for clubs and teams under 15 years of age for modern pentathlon, which was hosted by Egypt at the stadiums of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria.
The tournament concluded with the men's and women's relay competitions and the mixed relay competitions for clubs and national teams.
The results of the final day were as follows:
- Women's club relay competitions: The Egyptian pair Mariam Ayman and Maram Mohamed from Al Shams Club won the gold medal, while the Egyptian pair Lana Ghazi and Lian Ibrahim from Central Delta won the silver medal, and the Egyptian pair Habeeba Islam and Mariam Sami from Cairo Modern Pentathlon won the bronze medal.
- Boys' relay competitions for clubs: The Egyptian pair Ahmed Assem and Adam Mohamed from the Alexandria Modern Pentathlon region won the gold medal, the Egyptian pair Iyad Ahmed and Malek Islam from the Cairo Modern Pentathlon region won the silver medal, and the Egyptian pair Yahya Al-Sayed and Karim Mohamed from Al-Yusr Club won the bronze medal.
- Mixed club relay competitions: The Egyptian duo Khadija Mahmoud and Tim Mohamed from Cairo Modern Pentathlon won the gold medal, the Egyptian duo Jourie Mohamed and Iyad Yasser from Alexandria Modern Pentathlon won the silver medal, while the Egyptian duo Sara Ayman and Moaz Mustafa from El Shams Club won the bronze medal.
- Women's relay competitions for national teams. The Egyptian national team won the gold medal, as did the doubles team Mariam Ayman and Maram Mohamed.
- Men's national team relay competitions: The Egyptian national team, represented by the doubles Muhannad Khudair and Mohamed Adel, won the gold medal, the Kuwaiti national team, consisting of Mohamed Al-Suhaibi and Badr Al-Suhaibi, came in second place, winning the silver medal, and the Emirati national team, represented by Dhiyab Omar Al-Kutbi and Salem Tamim Al-Kutbi, won the bronze medal.
