First, the 2025 World Cup Series Final

On Friday, July 4, the final competitions of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup in the 2025 series began, which Egypt is hosting at the stadiums of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria during the period from July 4 to 6, 2025
 With the participation of 340 male and female players from 36 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, China, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Gambia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Lithuania, Mali, Mexico, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, America, Portugal, Croatia, in addition to two countries of neutral players, and Egypt, the host country. The list of prominent participants includes the 2024 Paris Olympics champion, Michelle Goleas from Hungary Olympic bronze medalists Song Min-sung from South Korea and Giorgio Malan from Italy, and the three athletes who won gold medals will also participate in the men's competitions, and the tournament will be held under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and in the presence of the President of the International Modern Pentathlon Federation, ” Rob Estol “, Captain Ismail Moussa, President of the North African Modern Pentathlon Federation, and Engineer Sherif El-Erian, President of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation Dr. Muhammad Mahmoud Abu Al-Azm, Vice President of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology for Student Affairs, and a large number of sports public figures

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The final of the 2025 World Cup series in Alexandria is the first World Cup final in history to be held in the new game of obstacles, which replaced equestrianism in the modern pentathlon competitions after the end of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Egypt was the first country to host the first official tournament to include the game of obstacles at the adult level, when it hosted the first round of the World Cup series at the American University in Cairo stadiums last February.
The final of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup series will be held with the participation of the best 36 players, and the best 36 players in this year's World Cup series, as three rounds were held before reaching the final, the first in Cairo, the second in Hungary and the third in Bulgaria.
Egypt had the lion's share of winning 6 medals in the three rounds held in the series, as follows:
On the Cairo tour: women's gold (Farida Khalil), and men's bronze (Muhannad Shaaban).
On the Hungary tour: men's gold (Moataz Wael), women's silver (Farida Khalil).
On the Bulgaria tour: women's gold and bronze (Farida Khalil and Malak Ismail, respectively).

Details of the World Cup Series Final and the Modern Pentathlon World Sequels Championship have been revealed in Alexandria 
On Saturday, July 5, 2025, a press conference was held to reveal the details of the final of the World Cup series and the World Modern Pentathlon Sequences Championship, which Egypt is hosting at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport stadiums in Alexandria during the period from July 4 to 14, 2025. The conference witnessed the presence of Rob Stoll, President of the International Modern Pentathlon Federation, and Engineer Sherif El-Erian, President of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation and Vice President of the International Federation of the Game Ismail Moussa, President of the North African Modern Pentathlon Federation, and Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu Al-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Transport, on behalf of Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Academy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Robert Stoll, President of the International Modern Pentathlon Federation, expressed his "pride and gratitude" for Egypt hosting the Modern Pentathlon World Cup and the World Relay Championship, in a global sporting event held at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Abu Qir. Stoll said that he is "happy that Egypt is hosting the Modern Pentathlon World Championship, and I thank the President of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, Eng. Sherif El-Erian, and the President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport." Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, for their efforts. We started this tournament from scratch." Stoll pointed out that this edition is historic as it is the first World Cup to be held with the new game of obstacles instead of equestrianism.
In his speech, Engineer Sherif El-Erian, President of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, stressed Egypt's readiness to host this major event, praising the role of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in organizing such sporting events.
Al-Aryan added that Egypt's hosting of these two tournaments is a confirmation of its increasing organizational capacity and readiness to host major international sporting events.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For his part, Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs at the Academy's main headquarters, welcomed the attendees, and at the beginning of his speech he conveyed the greetings of the Academy's President, Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, to all attendees.
Dr. Abu Al-Azm stressed that "the academy has become one of the prominent sports houses", and extended "all thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian state" for its support, and also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Engineer Sherif El-Erian.
Abu Al-Azm added that the academy received the "Best Organization of the Championship" award from the International Modern Pentathlon Federation, and that it is "the first place to host world championships in the new form" thanks to the attention that Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar pays to athletes and sports.
He concluded his speech by reviewing the academy's results and its advanced positions in international rankings, expressing his pride in the athletes.
On this occasion, Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, stressed that the Academy “has become an oasis for athletes and a model to be emulated for universities that have a sports and educational structure at the highest level”. 
He pointed out that this is the fifth time in a row that the Academy has hosted the World Modern Pentathlon Championship, which reflects the confidence of international institutions in the Academy's capabilities. 
Abdel Ghaffar praised the efforts of Engineer Sherif El-Erian, President of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, his role in advancing Egyptian sports, and the Federation's cooperation with the Academy to host major tournaments in Egypt.

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, Alexandria Governorate witnessed the closing ceremony of the 2025 Modern Pentathlon World Cup finals, held inside the main headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, where the ceremony was attended by a number of important symbols and figures, most notably the following: 
 Mr. Rob Stoll, President of the International Modern Pentathlon Federation.
 Mr. Klaus Schurman, Honorary President of the International Federation.
 Engineer Sherif El-Erian, Vice President of the International Federation and President of the Egyptian Federation.
 Professor Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, on behalf of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy.
 Mr. Vyacheslav Malyshev, Vice President of the International Federation.
 Mr. Andrea del Amore, Member of the Board of Directors of the International Federation.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, a number of important figures and heads of committees in the tournament were honored, and the Academy's shield was presented to them by Professor Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, on behalf of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and Dr. Ahmed Khalaf, Director of Sports Departments at the Academy.
Captain Ismail Moussa, President of the North African Modern Pentathlon Federation, congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, for their support of sports, athletes and the modern pentathlon game. He congratulated the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, headed by Captain Sherif El-Erian, and the players for winning first place in the tournament. He also congratulated the Egyptian and world champion in modern pentathlon, Farida Khalil Abu Hashem, and her family Stressing its support and the support of the North African Modern Pentathlon Federation for Egyptian sports champions in their participation in international championship competitions.

Egypt dominates the African Modern Pentathlon Championship with 24 medals
He imposed his complete control over the modern pentathlon competitions, after the men's and women's teams won 24 various medals in the 2025 African Championship, hosted by the city of Alexandria at the stadiums of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. The Egyptian harvest came with 8 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze, in an achievement that confirms the depth of the Egyptian talent base, despite the participation of the second team (B) due to the participation of the first team in the World Championship for Sequences.
In the adult category, Egyptian dominance was absolute in the men's competition, as Amer Idris won the gold medal with 1462 points, followed by Mustafa Amer as runner-up with 1451 points, while Youssef Amir won the bronze medal with 1420 points, while Mark Awad came sixth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the women's side, Sama Qandil shined and snatched gold with 1,340 points, ahead of her colleagues Judy Muhammad, who won silver (1,270 points), and Rodina Zahran, who won bronze (1,225 points), completing the women's coronation hat-trick.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the under-21 competitions, men and women continued to shine, as Mustafa Mohamed won gold with 1,500 points, followed by Ziad Hatta and Ayman Abu Al-Futouh to complete the triple coronation again.
For women, Judy Zaher was on time to achieve gold with 1,322 points, followed by Retaj Ramadan in silver, and Kholoud El-Ghaity in bronze, in a repeated version of the integrated Egyptian coronation scene.
In the under-19 category, Hamed El-Sherbiny won gold with 1,506 points, while Adam Fouad won silver, and Sani Radwan ranked third.
Among the juniors, Judy Saeed shined and won gold, while Heba Issa came second, and Loujain Muhammad third, with a remarkable presence of Zeina Sobeih in fifth place.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the under-17 category, the Pharaohs continued to shine, with Mustafa Refaat winning the gold, followed by Mohamed Abu Daqiqa and Mohamed Mohamed in second and third places, with Ziad Hatta and Hamed Al-Namki in fourth and fifth places.
In the female category, Nour Ramadan was on a date with brilliance, as she won gold with 1,367 points, followed by Ghazal Mahmoud and Judy Ramadan, while Maryam Abdel Nasser came fourth.
With this achievement, Egypt consolidates its position as the first power on the African scene in the modern pentathlon, and continues to prepare the champions to compete in the qualifiers for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
