Under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Meguid Khalaf, Director of Sports Departments, the AASTMT Main Campus welcomed a delegation from Effat University and Jeddah International College, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in a distinguished sports gathering that brought together AASTMT and Alexandria University.
The visit featured 3x3 basketball matches in a vibrant atmosphere characterized by sportsmanship, friendly competition, and a strong spirit of Arab brotherhood among all participants.
The event also featured the presence of Hamad Fathy, popularly known as “The Giant,” who stands 2.29 meters tall. He was warmly welcomed and greatly appreciated by everyone for his friendly spirit and outstanding manners.
Paralympics Day
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport hosted the Paralympics Day event on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the AASTMT Main Campus in Abu Qir.
The event brought together Al Mostakbal Club in Alexandria and the Damanhour Club for People with Disabilities, with participants competing in a variety of sports, including football, volleyball, basketball, swimming, athletics, and table tennis.
The Academy ensured that the sports facilities and playing fields were fully prepared to accommodate the participants. An ambulance and a golf cart were also provided to ensure the safety of all participants and create a suitable environment for the event.
The competitions featured an enthusiastic and inspiring sporting atmosphere, reflecting the determination, perseverance, and strong spirit of the participating athletes.
At the conclusion of the event, the winners and participants were honored and presented with commemorative medals in recognition of their outstanding participation and commitment to the spirit of fair competition.
The event highlighted the important community and humanitarian role played by AASTMT through its support for sports and community activities and its commitment to providing opportunities for people from different groups to participate in sports activities within the Academy’s facilities. This contributes to promoting inclusion, participation, and a sense of belonging.
Educational Visit by Talaat Harb Language School
The AASTMT Main Campus welcomed an educational visit by Talaat Harb Language School, aimed at introducing the students to the Academy’s facilities and its educational, sports, and extracurricular activities.
The visit included a tour of the Main Campus, providing the visitors with an opportunity to explore the various facilities and resources, as well as learn about the academic programs, services, and activities offered to students.
The visit reflects AASTMT’s commitment to strengthening communication and cooperation among educational institutions and promoting awareness of the Academy’s educational and sports capabilities, while opening new avenues for cooperation and the exchange of experiences.
Introductory Visit by a Delegation from the League of Arab States
The AASTMT Main Campus welcomed a delegation from the League of Arab States on an introductory visit aimed at exploring the Academy’s capabilities, facilities, and educational, academic, and sports programs and activities.
The visit included a tour of the Main Campus, during which the delegation was introduced to the Academy’s various facilities and resources, as well as its role and mission in the fields of education, training, scientific research, and community service.
The visit reflects the commitment to strengthening cooperation and communication between AASTMT and the League of Arab States and promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise in support of joint Arab initiatives and the role of educational institutions in serving the community.
