This course is designed for non-native students who wish to develop their listening skills for the academic and /or workplace environment. The course introduces students to different academic listening activities to achieve listening comprehension and vocabulary development. Students will learn to understand and be understood with reference to listening and discussing familiar and unfamiliar topics. The course also helps students to enhance their pronunciation skills and linguistics expressions, achieve a fundamentacompetency in academic listening and note-taking and enhance the students’ use of English idioms and academic vocabulary.
