The Humanities Department is a diverse community of academics, students, and staff that unleashes human creativity. The Humanities department does not solely revolve around offering
first year students a foundation to get oriented with the different courses and
skillset needed. Our aim is to help students acclimate, settle, and participate
in the various activities our college, and the Arab Academy as a whole, has to
offer. Our vision entails producing confident, well-rounded, and proactive
students, whom presence and active participation make all the difference. Whether
it is media coverage, student council, sports activities, or artistic pursuits,
our humanities students shine wherever they go.
Whether academic trips, trainings, or otherwise, Humanities student are offered opportunities to travel with their peers and experience all the world has to offer.
In the Humanities department, enrolled students are introduced to courses that include "Introduction Mass Communication" and "Introduction to Radio & T.V.," both of which are taught by highly qualified staff members who introduce the basic notions of broadcasting to students, all while training them to uptake different specialized tasks in projects of varying nature.
As the historical role of translators, bringing the world closer, remains pivotal in our modern global community, the humanities department offers introductory courses in Translation, Linguistics, and Public Speaking. These courses aim towards honing the abilities of future translators and consecutive and simultaneous interpreters, with regards to both their academic and performative abilities.
