Description :
This course is designed primarily for maritime students and seafarers and  anyone interested in improving his/her language skills in the navigation field. Emphasis is placed on the teaching of the four language skills, namely, listening, speaking, reading and writing through a nautical-based medium. Learners study specialized vocabulary and terminology needed in the maritime field. In addition, the course focuses on teaching the Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP) in compliance with IMO regulations.
