Program Description

The CLC Media programme consists of 130 credit hours of academic and skill-based courses in addition to 60 hours of practical training in collaboration with prestigious media industry partners.
Media Studies in CLC is divided into two main majors;
1) Radio and TV Production where students acquire knowledge and skills to produce and present audio and visual materials such as TV shows, Radio Programs and Drama, Short films and documentaries,
2) Digital Media where students develop their knowledge and skills in writing different types of articles, create and edit newspapers and magazines either printed or online. Also, students acquire knowledge about Integrated marketing communication where students integrate between multiple disciplines such as advertising, public relations and digital marketing, Digital marketing to develop their skills in working at media agencies.

    Upon successful completion of the Bachelor Degree in Media, all graduates will have demonstrated a defined set of competencies reflecting both disciplinary knowledge and professional practice. Graduates will be able to:
    • Demonstrate advanced theoretical grounding in media and communication studies by critically engaging with key concepts, debates, and paradigms in the field.
    • Utilise robust research and analytical capabilities to identify, investigate, and critically evaluate complex media-related issues using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies
    . • Produce professional-quality content across multiple platforms and formats including print, audio, visual, and digital, by integrating both creative and technical skills.
    • Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory frameworks governing media production and dissemination to ensure truth, fairness, privacy, and copyright compliance.
    • Integrate language and communication skills effectively in professional media contexts, considering the bilingual nature of the college.
    • Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating leadership, adaptability, and the ability to contribute to diverse roles within media production.
    • Communicate ideas and messages clearly and persuasively to technical and nontechnical audiences through oral, written, and visual forms.
    • Adapt to emerging media technologies and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.

Admission Requirements

The minimum requirements that must be met by all students Who would like to join / enroll in the College for undergraduate degree are: Holder of High School Certificate or any Equivalent.

Tests & Prerequisites

Sitting for and passing the placement test is a must to enroll in all majors in the AASTMT.
