Computer Lab  

With the strong collaboration of computing services, the lab can offer students a networking environment that allows them to develop their skills safely. The lab facilities are used in training, which provides a comprehensive overview of foundational networking concepts, with an emphasis on theory and practical applications. The lab contains special hardware to apply basic and intermediate applications in order to support undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Computer-Assisted Translation – CAT Tools (SDL Trados)

SDL Trados Studio 2017 Professional is a complete translation environment for server and desktop. It combines powerful translation memory technology with the first self-learning machine translation engine fully integrated in a CAT tool. Terminology management is more streamlined and easier to use with SDL Trados Studio. This software is designed to be scalable for students and has quality and security features to ensure delivering the best quality translations, in the fastest time and at the best knowledge for students.

Online Translation Software

The online translation software available at the CLC lab is among the best software-based language laboratories, enabling both tutor-led teaching sessions and unlimited independent student learning. With the lab’s unique Dynamic User Licensing system, any computer can randomly take a teacher or student position, or simply work as an independent study position, enabling simultaneous class lessons anytime anywhere across the institution.
