Program Description

• Duration: 3 semesters • Number of courses: 12 (4 courses per term) • Total number of credit hours: 30 • Classes Conduction: Weekends (Fridays – Saturdays)

Learning Outcomes

  • Students who complete the Graduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics should: 1. gain an adequate basis for pursuing advanced studies in linguistics and applied linguistics ; 2. demonstrate a specialist understanding of specific areas of study, showing an understanding of the latest research directions; and 3. develop a capacity for an advanced level of analysis in relation to the specific issues in linguistics and applied linguistics.

  • - English as a Foreign Language Instructor - Lexicographer - Publishing copy-editor/proofreader.

Admission Requirements

• Potential Candidates: Graduates of faculties of Arts, Al-Alsun and Education (English Department) and other equivalent disciplines as accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
