The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport is a leading institution in the field of technical education and scientific research in the Arab world, offering a variety of events and competitions, including programming and robotics competitions.

International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)

he International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is one of the five international science Olympiads. The main goal of the IOI is to stimulate interest in computer science and information technology. Another important goal is to bring together talented students to participate in joint scientific and cultural experiences.

The International Olympiad in Informatics is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, in addition to the support of His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. This cooperation reflects the importance of the championship in enhancing technological education and promoting programming skills among Arab youth. The championship provides a platform for students from different countries to exchange knowledge and compete at a high level in solving programming problems, which contributes to developing their capabilities and enhancing innovation. This event also strengthens cultural ties and cooperation between Arab countries and other participating countries, which contributes to building a generation of innovators in the field of technology.

Under the generous patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and based on the Arab League’s belief in the importance of investing in minds, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport is organizing the 36th International Olympiad in Informatics, during the period from September 1-8, 2024 in Alexandria.

European Competitive Programming Contest (ECPC)

The conclusion of the ECPC Programming Championship held at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology on: 7/30/2024

Honoring the winners of the Egyptian Universities Competition in the presence of the Governor of Alexandria and the President of the Arab Academy His Excellency Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Governor of Alexandria, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, honored the students who won the Egyptian Programming Competition for University Teams ECPC in its twenty-fourth session, which was organized by the Academy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Innovators Support Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This came during the grand celebration organized by the Alexandria Governorate to celebrate its 72nd National Day, in the presence of a group of popular and executive leaders in the governorate.

ECPC 2024

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport organized the ICPC 2023 competition at Luxor Temple under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi - President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and His Excellency Professor Dr. President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, with the participation of the Academy’s students from April 14 to 19, 2024.

The opening ceremony of the International Software Championship ICPC 2023 at Luxor Temple was witnessed by His Excellency Professor Dr. Ashraf Sobhi - Minister of Youth and Sports, His Excellency Counselor Mostafa Elham - Governor of Luxor, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
The activities of the International Programming Championship will be held in its forty-sixth and forty-seventh sessions in Luxor from April 14 to 19, 2024, and is organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.The celebration was held at Luxor Temple, in the presence of the President of Luxor University, Dr. Hamdi Mohamed Hussein, the Minister Plenipotentiary for Cultural and Media Affairs at the American Embassy, Robin Haritounian, the ambassadors of Jordan, Yemen, Djibouti, Mauritania, Palestine, and Armenia, Professor Bill Boucher, the Executive Director of the Competition, and the former Minister of Education, Dr. Yousry El-Gamal. Advisor to the President of the Academy for Informatics and Dr. Osama Ismail.
During the opening ceremony of the International Software Championship, there was an artistic performance inspired by the civilization of the ancient Egyptians and the playing of Pharaonic music by the Egyptian Opera House team.
His Excellency Dr. Ismail Abdul Ghaffar Ismail Faraj, president of the Academy, sincerely thanks and appreciates the wonderful team for their outstanding efforts in making the ICPC international software Championship a success at its forty-sixth and forty-seventh sessions, " thank you for all your giving and creativity. ECPC 2023

Yesterday, His Excellency Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, president of the Academy, witnessed the closing ceremony of the official competition for students of Egyptian universities ECPC in its twentieth session during the period August 6-19, 2023, which is organized by the Arab Academy for science, technology and maritime transport in cooperation with the Ministry of communications and Information Technology

 235 teams out of 2,400 (7,500 students) from 96 universities and institutes in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as students of pre-university schools, will participate in the finals of the competition at the Academy's headquarters in Alexandria. 

- This is the qualifying round for the African-Arab software Championship ACPC2023, which will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh during November 2023, qualifying for the ICPC international software competition .

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Yousry El Gamal, advisor to the president of the academy and former minister of Education, His Excellency Major General Mahmoud Issa, Commissioner of the governor of South Sinai for planning, follow-up and implementation

Mr. Bill Boucher-ICPC Executive Director and ICPC Foundation President, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail advisor to the president of the academy and regional chairman of the competition, Dr. Ahmed El Shenawy-dean of the Regional Center for Informatics, Mr. chairmen of the boards of Directors of companies and sponsoring institutions, Mr. heads of sectors of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and representatives of telecommunications companies

ROBO PIRATES

The Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the College of Engineering and Technology, organized the second edition of the ROBO PIRATES COMPETITION with the participation of (8) teams of students from the Department of Marine and Platform Engineering and Technology and students from other departments in the College of Engineering and Technology on 24/5/2024.

Who spares no effort in supporting and developing the capabilities and skills of our children, male and female students of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and in continuation of the fruitful cooperation between the Deanship of Student Affairs at the main headquarters in Alexandria, headed by Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu Al-Azm and Dr. Ahmed Khalifa - Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and the various colleges of the Academy and its scientific departments. By providing technical, material and logistical support to continue success and excellence and maintain the academy’s position among major educational institutions. In this context, and in cooperation with the College of Engineering and Technology, headed by Prof. Dr. Akram Soliman, Dean of the College and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Samir - Head of the Department of Marine Engineering and Platforms, the Department of Cultural and Social Activities participated in Preparing and organizing the second edition of the competition

Robotics Competition(RoboCup)

Today, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport concluded the RoboCupr Egypt 2024 competitions, one of the largest global competitions in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence applications, organized by the Regional Informatics Center with the participation of 900 male and female students from Egyptian schools and universities on 2/16/2023.
