Arab Academy Youth Soar Globally: Second Place Internationally and First Place Locally in the Drone Challenge
In a new achievement that reflects the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport's leadership in innovation and advanced technology, the "SkyXperts UAVs" team, comprised of 15 students from the Faculties of Engineering and Computer Science at the Main Campus, and the Faculties of Engineering and Technology and Artificial Intelligence at the El Alamein Branch, won second place globally and first place locally in the Multi-Rotor Challenge, as part of the Military Technical College Drone Competition.
Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs at the Main Campus, confirmed that this achievement was the result of two years of continuous work, during which the team succeeded in designing and manufacturing an advanced quadcopter that demonstrated outstanding performance during the competition, achieving an altitude of 150 meters and a climb speed of 2.5 meters per second. Abu El-Azm pointed out that this success is only the beginning of greater ambitions, explaining that the team is planning more advanced projects in the future, with the support and guidance of Professor Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, who places special emphasis on encouraging innovation and scientific research and building a generation capable of competing globally. For their part, the team members expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the Academy and its President, extending special thanks to the Dean of Student Affairs for his continuous follow-up and leadership, which contributed to this achievement, which is a source of pride for the Academy and its students.
