This visit and similar ones are of great importance as the student learned how to actually implement what they study in the lecture halls, as well as learn about the reality of work inside factories and companies.. The Department of Cultural and Social Activity, Babu Qir, organized a number of scientific trips in cooperation with the various scientific departments in the College of Engineering and Technology and the College of International Transport and Logistics from 21/5/2024 to 29/5/2024.
In continuation of the program of scientific trips in the various scientific departments and in continuation of the permanent cooperation between the Deanship of Student Affairs and all colleges of the academy, the Department of Cultural and Social Activity implemented a number of trips in cooperation with the various scientific departments:
1- A trip on Tuesday 5/21/2024 for students of the Department of International Trade Logistics Management at the Faculty of International Transport and a field visit to Unilever in Cairo, which was founded in September 1929 and is a British multinational consumer goods company that occupies an advanced position in trade and distribution in Egypt, Arab and European countries.
2- A trip on Saturday 5/18/2024 for students of the Petroleum and Gas Engineering Department to Zohr field in Port Said.
3- A trip on Thursday 5/23/2024 for students of the Petroleum and Gas Engineering Department to the Petroleum Research Institute in Cairo.
This is to visit gas and petroleum laboratories and learn about the different working techniques in them and the compatibility between them and what they teach in the lecture halls.
4- A trip on Thursday 5/23/2024 for students of the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design to the design show, the largest exhibition in the Middle East in the field of design and furniture manufacturing at the Cairo International Convention Center in Nasr City.
5- A trip on Wednesday 5/29/2024 for students of the Department of Industrial and Administrative Engineering to the PepsiCo factory in the Fifth Settlement in Cairo.
Students are accompanied on scientific trips by faculty members in the various scientific departments according to the different academic subjects to facilitate some information for the students and ask important questions to officials of companies, factories and laboratories to achieve the students’ maximum benefit from the trip, in addition to prior communication with these authorities to implement this visit.

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, and his constant directives to provide everything that serves the educational process and everything that helps in refining the skills of academy graduates to provide a scientifically, psychologically and socially balanced graduate for the labor market and practical training in various companies, institutions, factories and laboratories is the foundation. Before the scientific trips were temporarily halted due to the seventh week exams, the scientific visits program was concluded on Wednesday, 11/8/2023, with the visit of the Financial Regulatory Authority to the Smart Village in Cairo Al-Moez for our daughters and sons, students of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, College of Management, Department of Financial Management and Accounting, by obtaining the “Awareness” certificate. With the beginning of the current academic semester, October 2023, scientific trips witnessed “intensive” activity, in an effort to complete the practical side of scientific subjects and to continue cooperation between the Deanship of Student Affairs and the scientific departments in the various colleges, where the Department of Cultural and Social Activity implemented a number of scientific trips in the College of Engineering, including
-1- A trip for students of the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design, accompanied by a number of faculty members in the department, on Monday, 10/30/2023, to visit the housing project in Medina and the American University in Cairo to learn about the structural differences and interior designs.
2- A trip to the architecture department to Rashid to visit the citadel and Rashid Museum, Julian Castle, and the archaeological house of Al-Omsili on Friday 10/13/2023. To see closely the composition of the ancient buildings and the impact of the historical stage of each of them.
3- A scientific visit for students of the Electronics and Communications Engineering Department to the Egyptian satellite company Nilesat on Monday, 10/30/2023.
Students benefited from field visits with the presence of faculty members. Each scientific trip achieves a realistic vision of what they are studying inside the lecture halls. It helps students ask the right questions to make the most of the visit, consolidates the information and clarifies it in their minds, and achieves a link between theoretical academic material and practical application. 2- A trip for students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Aquaculture to Glion farms in Kafr El-Sheikh on Tuesday 30/5/2023, during which the students learned about the stages of work inside fish farms, the stages of manufacturing, the internal distribution and export abroad of farm products of different types of fish.
3- A scientific trip for pharmacy students on Thursday 5/25/2023 to the Zi Diligence Center for Pharmaceutical Research and Bioequivalence Studies for Pharmaceutical Products. The visit began with a short seminar on bioequivalence studies for drugs to be registered according to approved international standards. Then a distinguished tour within the different departments and research laboratories inside the center.
4- A trip for students of the Department of Construction and Building to Man Crew Steel Company for Metal Buildings on 6/1/2023 to learn about the stages of rolling, cutting and forming metal sheets.

3- A trip by the Department of Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering to the Mobico Fertilizer Factory in Damietta on Thursday 11/3/2022, where the students attended a theoretical lecture to learn about the manufacturing and production mechanisms, in addition to a tour to learn about the stages of manufacturing and the form of devices and machines inside the factory and methods of operation until the final product of various fertilizers.
4- A trip in cooperation with the Department of Mechanical Engineering to the Academy’s branch in El Alamein, where the students attended a detailed tour of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, where the students got acquainted with the mechatronics systems of various robots, in addition to the robots that the students created during the ProCap 2022 competition in Thailand, in which the students won the first place.
