About:
Student families are an organization emanating from the Families Committee of the College Students Union. Its purpose is to develop a spirit of cooperation between students, as well as between them and their professors, and to expand the base of student social, cultural, artistic and sports activities that help students hone their talents, develop their abilities and skills, and invest their free time. Each family establishes as many committees as it sees fit to organize activities, such as the social, cultural, sports, or excursions committee, provided that each committee has a course of students and a specific program. The Arab Academy for Science and Technology is based on preparing student leaders and caring for the distinguished in order to develop the student’s sense of himself, himself, and his national and national affiliations, and try to help him launch in the sky of excellence and uniqueness and prove himself in a way that achieves self-satisfaction and standing on his talents in terms of finding the opportunity for him to open the windows of excellence. It is an activity that prepares the elite of students with leaership, intellectual and cultural abilities by providing them with the appropriate climate to show their excellence and activate their role in leadership and in assuming the reins of affairs in order to prepare them for the future.

AASTMT’s Tech Team Launches New Student Activities Season with “Season Kick-Off” Event – September 29, 2026
The Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir, under AASTMT’s Student Affairs, organized a “Season Kick-Off” event for the Tech Team Student Family on September 29, 2026, marking the launch of the family’s student activities for the new September 2026 academic semester. The event introduced students to the Tech Team Student Family, its activities, and opportunities for participation, while also providing a platform for new students to register and join the family’s activities throughout the academic year.
The program featured a range of interactive and recreational competitions, creating an engaging atmosphere for participating students. A number of prizes were also distributed during the event, including T-shirts featuring the Tech Team logo.
The event witnessed strong interest and active engagement from a large number of students, reflecting their enthusiasm for participating in student activities and exploring the various student families and opportunities available at AASTMT.
The activities of the Tech Team Student Family are conducted under the supervision of the Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir, within Student Affairs, headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khalifa, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, and under the guidance and support of Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).
Through its student families and diverse extracurricular activities, Student Affairs continues to support and guide students by providing an engaging environment that encourages active participation, fosters collaboration and communication, and strengthens students’ sense of belonging to the academic community.

Abu Qir Cultural and Social Activities Department Hosts TECH TEAM Scientific Seminar on KORTEXT and Access to Digital Study Materials – September 27, 2026
The Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir organized a scientific seminar presented by members of the TECH TEAM Student Family at the College of Computing for AASTMT students on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Al-Farasi Hall in Abu Qir. The seminar focused on introducing KORTEXT, a global digital book platform, and exploring ways for students to use it to access their study materials and make the most of its available features. The seminar provided students with an overview of the KORTEXT platform, including its Arabic-language interface and electronic book reading capabilities. The TECH TEAM students also explained how students can use the platform to access academic materials and presented practical guidance on effective use of its services to support their studies.As part of the event, members of the TECH TEAM Student Family introduced new students to the family, its activities, and its primary focus on scientific and academic initiatives designed to support students in their studies and help them address academic challenges. The seminar was held under the supervision of the Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Khalifa, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. The event reflects the department’s commitment to supporting scientific activities that respond to students’ academic needs and encouraging student families to organize meaningful initiatives that contribute to academic support and the development of students’ skills across different fields. Through such activities, Student Affairs continues to support purposeful student initiatives and foster a university environment that encourages knowledge sharing and enables students to benefit from digital tools and platforms that can enhance their academic experience.
The Department of Cultural and Social Activities in Abu Qir, with the participation of the Tech Team students at the College of Computer and Information Technology, organized a revival of the memories of the Cinema Club program by screening the movie Wild Robot on 24/11/2024.
The episodes of the Cinema Club program were and still are stuck in the minds of all of us, the generation of parents, because of the memories and history it has.. But the most beautiful thing is that it is still able to attract the youth of the current generation, as the students of the Tech Team family at the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology organized (Movie Night) for this current semester on 11/18/2024 to show the movie Wild Robot.. Under the supervision of the Cultural and Social Activities Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs, the idea was well received by the students and received great interest from them.. Thanks to the family students for the organization and implementation.. And to our colleagues in the Activity Office at the College - the Deanship of Student Affairs headed by Professor Dr. / Mohamed Mahmoud Abu Al-Azm and Professor Dr. / Ahmed Khalifa - Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, providing students with everything that benefits them and renews their activity
