The Arab Academy for science, technology and Maritime Transport has established its role and bright image as a leading institution, achieving a distinguished ranking in the Times Higher Education Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for 2024, which is one of the most important indicators for assessing the impact of higher education globally to measure the impact of universities on society based on their success in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (Sustainable Development Goals). The Academy ranked 306th in the world out of 1963 universities, came in 3rd place in Egypt out of 46 universities, and at the Arab level came in 19th place out of 292 Arab universities. The Academy has achieved the first place in Egypt in four Sustainable Development Goals (SDG4 - quality of Education), (SDG7 – energy: cleaner generation and rationalization of consumption), (SDG8 - decent work and economic growth) and (SDG14 marine life: protection and pollution reduction). Internationally, the Academy achieved the sixth place in the world in the seventh goal (SDG7-energy: cleaner generation and rationalization of consumption), and also achieved the 84th place in the world in the fourth goal (SDG4 – quality of education), and also came among the top hundred universities in the world in the goal (- SDG8 decent work and economic growth), (- sdg12 sustainable production and consumption) and (- SDG14 marine life: protection and pollution reduction). At the Arab level, the Academy achieved the first place at the level of Arab universities in the seventh goal (SDG7-energy: cleaner generation and rationalization of consumption), and also achieved the 12th place at the Arab level in the fourth goal (SDG4 – quality of Education) This achievement is considered for the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, Maritime Transport and higher education in Egypt and the Arab world within the framework of the implementation of the Academy's strategy by participating in prestigious international classifications and accreditations, where the Arab Academy links its outputs in various forms, and the needs of society in its spectrum and institutions, as a necessity to achieve integration within its building of local and international partnerships . This excellence comes in the context of the Academy's continuous pursuit through its various academic programs, research activities, and various practices, in addition to the role of its research and community institutes and centers, and the Arab Academy's keenness to always implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in the framework of achieving sustainable societies that address regional and global challenges .
