Under the directives of Prof. Dr. Evan Saad, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, two college students were assigned to attend the conference and give a lecture on the subject. The delegation was accompanied by Prof. Dr Mohamed Etman, Professor of Pharmaceutics.
The two students, Marwan Ahmed (second semester) and Anthony Moheb (fourth semester), gave a lecture on the various applications of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector in general and in pharmacy in particular. They explained the experience of the college of Pharmacy AASTMT in El Alamein in providing the body interact simulation device, which represents a quantum leap in teaching, training and evaluating students on the clinical practice of pharmacy.
The device represents an integrated hospital, with a cases bank of more than 300 medical condition in various specialties. The device provides the opportunity for virtual interaction with patients, conducting dialogue, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and even surgical intervention.
The body interact device is exclusively available at the colleges of pharmacy AASTMT, unlike the other colleges of pharmacy, which reflects the academy`s interest in providing all educational and training capabilities to ensure the graduation of distinguished clinical pharmacists.
