Description

This course provides the students with a comprehensive overview of the Fundamentals of pharmacogenomics; Impact of pharmacogenomics on drug clinical pharmacology; Interpretation of pharmacogenomic test results; Interpretation of pharmacogenomic literature and use of evidence-based guidelines; Relationships between human genetic variability and drug responsiveness, susceptibility to disease, and disease severity. Scientific, clinical, legal, and ethical challenges in applying pharmacogenomics to drug discovery and clinical development. This course also provides an integrative view of the application of pharmacogenomics to personalized medicine.
