The course deals with the study of biochemical, structural and functional changes in cells, tissues and organs, which are caused by diseases.

Objectives

  • Domain (1): Fundamental knowledge 1.1- Describe the major pathological mechanisms of cell injury, cellular adaptations, inflammation and healing. 1.2- Discuss the different aspects of neoplasia and carcinogenesis 1.3- Describe the main hemodynamic changes and their clinical aspects Domain (2): Professional and Ethical Practice At the end of the course the student should be able to: 2.1- Carry out normal values and dimensions of the body organs & tissues. 2.2 Analyze different symptoms of patients. Domain (3): Pharmaceutical Care By the end of the course, the students should be able to: 3.1-Apply the knowledge of basic principles of pathology in professional pharmacy practice and patient care Domain (4): Personal Practice 4.1- Develp self-learning abilities by answering simple research questions
