Description

This course involves a detailed presentation of law that governs and affects the practice of pharmacy, legal principles for non-controlled and controlled prescriptions, OTC drug requirements, opening new pharmacies, opening medical stores, opening factories, opening scientific offices, medicine registration, pharmacies and medicine stores management. Pharmacist duties and responsibilities, pharmacist-patient relationship, patient's rights and ethical principles and moral rules.

Recognize the principles of basic, pharmaceutical, medical, social, behavioral, management, health and environmental sciences as well as pharmacy practice. a.2. Outline the core components of national drug policy a.3. List the core elements in laws and legislation regulating pharmaceutical sector b. Intellectual Skills b.1. Categorize drugs and medicines in accordance with current legislation and codes of professional practice. b.2. Qualify the understanding and working application of the laws pertaining to pharmacy. b.3. Examine the social and ethical issues arising from the practice of pharmacy c. Professional and Practical Skills c.1. Design the documentation system for activities of practice in compliance with legislation, standards and policies. c.2. Revise the understanding and working application of the laws pertaining to pharmacy and pharmacy’s products. d. General and Transferable Skills d.1. Manage support personal in different practice setting so that the assigned functions to these personal are carried out to meet accepted practice standards. d.2.
