The Future of the Maritime Transport Industry between Different Viewpoints and Integrated Proposals

His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, opened the sessions of the Advisory Council of the College of Maritime Transport and Technology, under the title “The Future of the Maritime Transport Industry between Different Viewpoints and Integrated Proposals,” at the Academy’s main headquarters in Abu Qir.

In the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Japan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Oka Hiroshi, His Excellency Major General A.H. Ashraf Al-Musharafi, Deputy Director of the Egyptian Military Academy for the Naval College, acting on behalf of His Excellency Lieutenant General Ashraf Ibrahim Atwa, Commander of the Naval Forces, His Excellency Rear Admiral A.H. / Reda Ismail, Head of the Maritime Transport Sector, His Excellency Rear Admiral A.H. Hussein Mostafa Al-Jaziri, Chairman of the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety, Prof. Dr. Al-Senussi Balbaa, Vice President of the Academy for Maritime Affairs, and Mr. Dr. Mohy El-Din Al-Sayeh - Dean of  Maritime Transport and Technology College

His Excellency's continuous and full support to the College of Maritime Transport and TechnologyI also extend my sincere thanks to the esteemed members of the Advisory Council, and distinguished attendees, for honoring us with your attendance at our council meetings today, which reflects the importance of cooperation and partnership between the Academy’s College of Maritime Transport and Technology, and your long-established institutions that strive to develop the human element in a way that ensures the advancement and development of the maritime transport industry. The Advisory Council is an important tool to ensure the continued excellence of the College of Maritime Transport and Technology, through your recommendations to develop the programs offered by the College in line with the requirements of the labor market.In light of the great challenges facing the maritime transport industry from climate change and rapid technological developments, and the subsequent changes and developments in the business environment; Such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence applications, cybersecurity, autonomous ships, and modern technology in the fifth and sixth generation ports of green and smart ports (Smart & Green ports). This is in accordance with the rules issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO)."
