Accreditation & International Certificates

 

The Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport is a fully accredited member of both the Association of Arab Universities and the International Association of Universities.

 

In 2024 , Equivalency to the bachelor’s degree granted by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria - Maritime Transport College in the specialty:
Maritime transportation technology
Marine engineering technology
with Bachelor's degree awarded by Egyptian universities

  

  

The Central Evaluation and accreditation Agency (ZEVA) 
In 2017, the Central Evaluation and accreditation Agency (ZEVA)  Germany , has accredited the following Bachelor's programmes  offered by the College of Maritime Transport and Technology :Maritime Transport Technology  , Marine Engineering Technology in July 2023 the accreditation has been renewed for six years .

 

  

The Hydrographic Survey Program
IN 2017, the Hydrographic Survey Program, launched by the College of Maritime Transport and Technology, in cooperation with the Hydrographic Survey Division, Egyptian Navy, has been approved by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). As such, the aforesaid program offered by the College is the only locally and regionally accredited CAT-B program in the field of hydrographic surveying.

 

 

 

 ISO 9001 Certificate for Educational Processes
The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certificate for its educational processes in September 1999, after following formal quality assurance procedures to maintain the educational quality level received by students. 

 

   Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW)
The adoption of all maritime courses at the Academy and the amendment of certification in accordance with the requirements of the new standards adopted by STCW 1978 and its amendments and the State headquarters ministerial decision.

 

 


European Commission
Both the educational and maritime training systems, and the certification systems adopted by the academy were accredited by the European Commission. Moreover, the recognition of the Academy as an academic nautical institution in accordance with the requirements of the European Union Parliament allows Academy graduates to work on EU vessels.

Approved Center of Marlins Certificates
The International Forum for Maritime Transport (IFMT) under the lead of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) has recently expanded its range of training and services as the one and only approved test center of “Marlins” existing in Egypt & Africa.
Marlins is the leading provider of Maritime English Language Testing and Training solutions to the maritime industry.
