Physical Education

The leadership education subject is considered essential in the life of the marine student on the campus because it aims to build the mental and physical building of the student, which helps him to realize the tasks, strength of endurance and correct thinking. Physical education also aims to meditate with all the methods of self-control that are the basis of working on boarding merchant ships in meditation with difficulties. The exercises start in the morning at 0600 with various sports exercises, and the evening period start at 1500 will be for sailing, rowing, boating, search and rescue exercises.

  

  •  Physical  tests for admission to the College of Maritime Transport and Technology:
    Physical  tests are carried out in line with the admission standards of the College of Maritime Transport and Technology.

 

 

  • Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences:
    The subject of physical education is taught to all students in the basic marine studies of the College of Maritime Transport and Technology and includes four axes, namely:
  •  

1.Physical fitness and self-defense: for all study periods (maritime navigation + marine engineering) with two lectures per week, the duration of each lecture is an hour, and among the graduation requirements is obtaining a karate promotion belt

  

2. Swimming: for all study periods (maritime navigation + marine engineering) with two lectures per week, the duration of each lecture is an hour, and one of the requirements for graduation from the college is proficiency in swimming.


3. Training at sea: students are trained in water sports in the form of theoretical and practical courses in the open sea (rescue - sail - rowing - launching launches) for students who have achieved the required level of success in swimming.

 

4.Sports show at graduation ceremonies: All distinguished students from all periods are involved in physical fitness and self-defense at the ceremony of completing basic naval studies and the academy president''s show queues.

  •  Training Courses: Specialized training courses in the field of sports are held in accordance with the protocols concluded with the Academy through the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the College of Maritime Transport and Technology to increase the capabilities and weight of students and learners to qualify them to compete in the labor market.

  • Sports activities: College students participate in all sporting events and competitions (sports marathon - meetings with Egyptian military colleges - tournament between colleges). Students who are distinguished in sports are honored by His Excellency Prof. Dr. / President of the Academy.
