The choice  of  students is based on the following :
- Percentage of score in the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or equivalent.
- Student age.
- Score gained in Academy’s English Language placement test.
- Physical fitness assessment.
- Interview assessment.(the interview committee :–vice dean for student affaires-head of basic nautical studies department-head of discipline department – head of engineering department )
- Student personality.
Each of these criteria is given weight and then the choice is according to the collective grades.
