In the context of the series of achievements of the College of Engineering and Technology at the main headquarters of the Academy, and its constant commitment to supporting and encouraging its distinguished students to engage in fair and fruitful competition with the strongest Egyptian universities, we are pleased to announce the victory of the Academy's students from the Mechanical Engineering Department at the main headquarters, recent graduates (July 2023 batch - Mechatronics division), who secured the second place at the level of Alexandria Governorate in the engineering graduation projects competition organized by the Engineers Syndicate in Alexandria.
The winning project, titled "Smart Wheel Chair," was presented within the framework of collaboration with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and the competition association as part of the "Bidayati" project. After competing with 81 graduation projects from students of engineering from six different faculties, the winning team from the Academy consists of:
- Engineer Mohamed Raafat Shatat
- Engineer Amr Gamal Khalil
- Engineer Saif Al-Najjar
- Engineer Muhaimen Ihab
They worked for a whole year under the supervision of:
- Dr. Mohamed Al-Habrouk - Electrical Engineering Department - University of Alexandria.
- Dr.iham Zidan - Mechanical Engineering Department - Arab Academy (Main Headquarters).
Dr. Ali Ismail Shahata, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the main headquarters of the Arab Academy, extends sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Faraj, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, and to Dr. Akram Suleiman Al-Salmi - Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, for their unlimited support to our dear students. He also congratulates the members of the winning team and the supervisory committee, wishing them continuous excellence and success. Additionally, he expresses special thanks to Dr. Hisham Saudi - President of the Engineers Syndicate in Alexandria - and to Dr. Mahmoud Saqr - President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology for their support to the graduates of engineering faculties in Alexandria Governorate.
