Mechanical Engineering

Graduation Requirements

To be qualified for a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, the candidate must:

  • Complete 180 credit hours of approved work
  • Earn a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.00
  • Complete practical training.

College Requirements

A total of 51 credit hours are required by the college.

Program Requirements for Energy & Power Branch

  • A total of 129 credit hours are required by the ME program, which are distributed as follows:
  • 114 credit hours of compulsory courses.
  • A minimum of 15 credit hours of department electives that are from the two main course groups A and B .

Program Requirements for Automotive

  • A total of 129 credit hours are required by the ME program, which are distributed as follows:
  • 129 credit hours of compulsory courses.
  • No Elective Courses.

Program Requirements for Mechatronics

  • A total of 129 credit hours are required by the ME program, which are distributed as follows:
  • 123 credit hours of compulsory courses.
  • A minimum of 6 credit hours of department electives that are ed from the two main course groups C and D.

Students of the ME program must meet both the college and program required courses under the supervision of the academic advisor. Students are not entitled to register any course without the completion of the prerequisite course(s). The registration system available in the CET ensures that students fulfill these conditions. In addition, students must have their registration forms signed by his/her academic advisor as well as the general academic advisor before and after the registration.
