Understand and familiarize yourself with contemporary Arab history. Learn about the historical stages of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Acquiring the idea of Arab nationalism and belonging to Arabism stemming from the unity of blood, language and history. Introducing the student to the positions of Arab writers on the stages of the conflict, and their common cause. Understand the Zionist ideology based on the usurpation of the land of others. Knowing the illogical reasons justifiable for the rape of Palestine. Clarify the role of modern European colonialism and its position on Arab countries aspiring to liberation. Understanding the colonial logic and the Sykes-Picot Agreement in the division of the Arab world (the legacy of Turkish colonialism). Clarifying the colonial plan by placing obstacles in front of the liberated Arab peoples after they obtained the evacuation. Awareness of the role of writers in putting the Arab cause under the microscope. Knowing the extent to which the Arab peoples are affected by their issues and expressing them in creative literary templates. Upon completion of this course, the student must have the ability to: Zionist thought and philosophy delved into the usurpation of the land of the Arabs. Analysis of the European position on enabling Jews to occupy the land. Comparing each stage to another stage of the conflict in terms of preparedness and Arab mobilization. Objectives

  • At the end of the course, the student must be familiar with the historical stages of the Arab-Israeli conflict since the Balfour Declaration for the Jews until the post-peace stage (Egyptian-Israeli and then Arab-Israeli).
