Trip to Autonoma University in Spain Summer 2014

A distinguished summer trip for CLC students in terms 1 and 2 that aims at developing the students’ skills and knowledge in the fields of Language, Translation and Media in addition to establishing their communication and cultural skills through mingling with different nationalities and acquiring new experience.
The group arrived at Bellaterra, Barcelona at the midnight of Sunday 8th of June in where Autonoma University is located. Monday was a national holiday in Spain so the students had enough time to relax and wander about in all the places round the campus that they were staying in. Dr. Azza Ahmed Heikal, CLC Dean Dr. Heba Nayef, Head of Humanities Department and Ms. Engy Shaker , CLC Assistant Lecture were the academic supervisors who accompanied the students from Egypt’s airport all through the trip until they safely arrived back to their parents. An opening ceremony was held for students'' orientation to introduce the activities and lectures set for the students in their ten-day stay. Students attended lectures and training classes in which they were distributed into 3 groups in order to practise on T.V. programming, radio, or journalism. Then students attended two days in the Cinema Festival in Barcelona, in which many seminars were held within the events of the festival. Students also held many interviews that helped them accomplish the projects that they were assigned to do as part of their practical training.
Students attended lectures on script writing and had a visit to the studios inside the College of Communication, in which they practiced actual training in shooting programmes.
As for the cultural trips, students spent an unforgettable evening in a flamingo party in where they enjoyed a welcome party with Fabulous flamingo dancer.. Also, there was a visit to Picasso museum in which students were introduced to Picasso''s tremendous artistic works. Besides, they visited the surrounding churches and old buildings in Barcelona.
