Taking into account the actual need of the labor, this program has been designed to prepare a highly skilled pharmacist capable of providing professional pharmaceutical services to allow the graduate to compete for national and international job opportunities available in the specialized pharmaceutical field. This six-year program offers the degree of Bachelor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) necessary to obtain a license to practice in all available pharmaceutical fields. The number of credit hours required for graduation is 177 (cr. hr.) spreading over 10 academic semesters in addition to one-year mandatory training for pharmacists under the supervision of the Supreme Council of Universities (5+1). The program is designed according to the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS) for Pharmacy education and offers a carefully sequenced courses progression in a cluster design to achieve the required graduate competencies. Interdepartmental and inter-professional experiences and self-learning skills are catered for to allow the graduate to actively and confidently participate teams at various pharmacy settings.
Students must meet the following admission requirements: a. Completion of secondary education certificate or equivalent certificates according to the particular requirements of the college of Pharmacy as specified by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities. b. Meeting the minimum score required to join the college which is announced before the beginning of each semester, in light of the minimum score mandated by AASTMT, as well as the annually announced terms, regulations and qualifying courses per certificate as specified by the Supreme Council of Education Affairs. c. Being physically fit as per stipulated levels. d. Showing good conduct with no dishonoring judicial sentence issued against them. e. Submission of all required admission documents.

The Academy may reject any student without stating reasons. Before the start of each semester (Fall – Spring), AASTMT shall determine the number of students that are to be accepted in the college of Pharmacy. Students are accepted according to admission policies set by the Supreme Council of Education Affairs, after passing admission exams and according to the terms specified prior to admission.
This degree is designed over six academic years (5 study years + 1 mandatory training). -The study years in this program are offered over ten academic semesters according to the credit-hour system where fundamental courses are offered in early study years and serve as prerequisite for more advanced courses. -The students must finish 100 hours of field training in private, governmental and hospital pharmacies during the summer vacations after the end of the third level (semester 6). -In the last two semesters (semesters 9 and 10), the students are offered a group of elective courses to select from according to their preferences. Upon completing the five-year PharmD program, graduates must undergo a one-year mandatory training period, equivalent to six training modules (9 months in total). This training includes: I-Four Mandatory Rotations: 1-Drug Tour Rotation 2-Pharmacy-Based Rotation 3-Clinical Pharmacy Rotation (Adult General Medicine) 4-Applied Research Project II-Two Elective Rotations from the following: 1-Pharmaceutical Product Development 2-Quality Management in the Pharmaceutical Industry 3-Pharmaceutical Production 4-Pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing 5-Pharmacovigilance.
