Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS)

  • Electrical & Control Engineering |

Description

The emerging technology of Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) is based on modern high power electronic systems that provide fast controllability to ensure 'flexible' and stable operation under changing system conditions. This course aims to provide the knowledge and understanding of concept, modeling, analysis, and applications of FACTS in power systems. Different FACTS devices and controllers are introduced. Moreover, the mutlifunctional operation of FACTS controllers is also addressed.

Program
