Objectives

  • The course discusses advanced investigation of photovoltaic and wind energy based systems. For large scale photovoltaic projects, several aspects are addressed ragarding panel selection, cabling, inverter programming, protection design, mounting systems in addition to maintainance procedures. Regarding high power farm scale wind energy projects, critical technical points are discussed regarding turbine selection and erection, generator-converter configuration, cable management systemsin addition to international standards applied. Two Egyption market based case studies are investigated in details.‎
