Brief about IME Program
The Industrial and Management Engineering (IME) program at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) has been designed and approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) which prepares graduates for careers in various areas such as Quality Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Production.
IME department offers a wide variety of facilities of well-equipped laboratories (Material Testing Lab, Reverse Engineering Lab, Advanced Manufacturing Lab, Human Factors and Ergonomics Lab, Workshops, Non-Destructive Testing Lab, and CAD/CAM Lab). IME staff members guide students in choosing which courses to register per semester and follow up their progress along the semester.
Why IME?
The Industrial and Management Engineering department in AASTMT is the only department concerned with studying management engineering beside the industrial engineering among other universities in Egypt.
Most of teaching assistants have their PhD from international universities in United Kingdom.
The department offers a practical training in companies for students in Egypt and abroad.
The department has many laboratories that cover all essential topics needed for an Industrial Engineer.
Courses and laboratories are in continues development to achieve the international standards and job market requirements.
