Accreditation & Certificates
Accreditation
The undergraduate program of Industrial and Management Engineering (IME) was established in 1994 and offers a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and management engineering.
The program has been accredited by the following national and international bodies (listed chronologically):
- Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities (SCU).
- ISO 9001.
- Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).
- Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
- National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).
- Extendsim Adopter Program. https://extendsim.com/academic/adopterprogram/adopterschools
It should be noted that the accreditation by the IET was due in 2014 however, the College of Engineering and Technology decided not to renew this accreditation and to suffice with ABET as it is more comprehensive and more fitting to the credit hour system followed by the AASTMT.
The list of accreditations with their renewal dates are listed in the following table:
Latest Renewal | Accreditation | History | Major Benefits |

The IME multiple acquired accreditations mentioned above do not contradict in their requirements and objectives but each accreditation adds a dimension to the quality of education and allows people in this educational institution to benefit from others’ experience in education and also add to the global educational experience.
