Objectives

  • The course addresses advanced ways in which BIM can assist various disciplines to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure. Implications in the fields of Architecture, Civil, Construction, MEP, Plant and Structures are discussed. During the course a student will explore ways to detect existing building objects in spatial and visual data for the purpose of automating the generation of geometric models and drawings of various building types.
