Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Architectural Engineering And Environmental Design
Objectives
This course instructs researchers in the analysis, evaluation, and selection of construction and finish materials for the sustainable interior. Both natural and manmade materials will be covered, as well as finishing processes. Through research and analysis students will become familiar with new and remanufactured goods. Researchers will learn methods of determining material appropriateness and considerations when designing a green interior along with understanding the LEED rating system as applied to interior materials.
