Objectives
This course introduces researcher to the past, present, and predictable future of lighting, and to light as a design element: how culture, aesthetic preferences, social trends, energy, economics, and technology have and continue to influence the application of light and the development of illumination theory and equipment. Researchers will explore the genre of “Light Art,” an art form in which light is used as sculpture, or in which light, color, and shadow are primary elements of an artistic expression. 802-7 - Sociology of Domestic Interior
