Objectives
This course will provide theoretical and practical techniques for understanding and interpreting social science on urban form in metropolitan and regional settings. The course is valuable to a range of disciplines because it focuses on exploring issues relating to the growth of cities and their social and cultural character. The course will also explore issues around urbanism through social perspective and apply principles of urban design and will undertake site analyses; develop design concepts; and establish design details which consider and interpret local and regional context.
