Aya Madany is simply a legend in modern pentathlon in Egypt and Africa. She scored many global achievements that made the world finally be convinced that sport modern pentathlon is not limited only to Europeans, but Africans also can fight world champions in this game.
No other civilian has been credited in introducing this sport to the Egyptian people despite being long ignored by the media and despite being added to the Olympic program since 1912 and became her regular competitions since 1949.

1. She won silver at the World Junior Championships 2002
2. She won the World Junior Championship gold medal in 2003
3. Won a World Junior Championships gold medal in 2004 and participated in the Athens Olympics and is the only 16-year-old who also won the gold medal in the African Championship for adults in the same year
4. Won a World Junior Championships gold medal in the 2005 World Youth Championship silver in same year
5. Won the gold medal at the 2006 African championships and World Junior Championships gold medal and in the same year she also won the gold in the World Cup series for adults in England and the second in Egypt
6. Won gold medal in the African Championship in 2007 and the bronze World Cup in Egypt in the same year before winning gold in World Cup final in China, the second biggest tournament after the World Championships
7. She won silver medal in the World Championship in 2008 and a gold medal in the World Junior Championship in the same year. She also won the gold medal in the World Cup in the Czech Republic and silver medal in the World Cup in England, before she achieved eighth place in the Beijing Olympics which is the best achieved by any African player in the modern pentathlon in the Olympics.
8. Won the seventh place at the World Championships 2009, silver medal in the World Cup in Egypt, Gold medal in the World Cup in Italy, in Mexico and in Brazil, and ended the year with the gold medal of the World Junior Championship in Chinese Taipei.
9. Won the 4th place at the World Championships in 2010, won a bronze World Cup in Egypt, won 6th place in the World Cup finals in Russia, and won the fourth place at the World Cup in Mexico.
10. Won the world cup gold medal in Hungary in 2011.
11. Won the fourth place in the World Cup in Brazil in 2012 where she suffered an injury that later affected her performance at the London 2012 Olympics.
12. Scored medals in all the international tournaments organized by the International Union of modern pentathlon except for the Olympics.
Aya Madany also exceled in her education in the same manner she did in sports. She holds an undergraduate degree and a master degree in Logistics of International Transport. She is now one of the TAs at the college of International Transport and Logistics.
