Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport TECHLOG Project Egyptian partner continues the implementation of the two Egyptian pilot actions for five consecutive weeks now. The #5th training round which consists of TRUCK AND GANTRY CRANE SIMULATION TRAINING is taking place from 5-9 November 2023. Transportation and port #cargo handling #company operators are attending the training. The aim of the pilot actions is to test performance of operators measured before and after the training to highlight performance and areas for improvement.
Drivers from SHIP & C.R.E.W, Kadmar Travel | Lufthansa City Center | Egypt and Morgan Egypt companies participated in the TRUCK simulation training. This pilot action training introduces companies’ fleets of truck drivers to road safety awareness, practice on safe driving through the innovative simulators and enhance drivers’ sensitivity, road safety and environmental conditions and requirements. In addition, drivers from Port Said Container & Cargo Handling Company took part in the GANTRY CRANE SIMULATION TRAINING. The aim of this pilot action is to focus on the safe performance of port gantry crane operators in a productive and eco-friendly manner. REACH STACKER AND FORKLIFT SIMULATION TRAINING pilot actions will be starting later this month and are expected to continue for three other rounds with the participation of transportation and port cargo handling company operators.
It is worth mentioning that Safety pilot area is adopted according to the market need throughout the innovation training for truck drivers, port cranes and reach stacker/ forklift operators using state of the art simulators at the TECHLOG Eastern Living Lab established at AASTMT premises in Alexandria , Egypt.
