The course provides an understanding of carbon capture, utilization and storage through the entire supply chain, a large-scale decarburization technology of the energy and industrial sector, from a multidisciplinary approach.

Objectives

  • The student will be able to: ▪ Describe the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions and their impact on climate change. ▪ Identify, describe and explain principles and applications of CO2 capture and separation technologies, and technologies used for CO2 conditioning and CO2 transport. ▪ Design methods to decrease the carbon footprint of electricity generation. ▪ Integrate technology, economics, sustainability, environmental impact, regulatory framework and public acceptance in a full-chain project.
