AASTMT Ranked 2nd in Egypt and 3rd in the Arab region according to the Arab ranking for universities
In the first edition of the Arab Ranking of universities, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport is among the top 10 universities in Egypt and 22nd among the Arab region. The Arab ranking for Universities “ARU” 2023 includes 115 universities across 16 Arab countries. From Egypt, 28 Egyptian universities participated which was the highest number of universities among the 16 participating Arab countries.
AASTMT ranked 2nd in Egypt and 3rd in the Arab region in the international and national cooperation and community service index. AASTMT also ranked 9th among Egyptian universities and 20th regionally in the creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation index.
AASTMT ranked 15th in Egypt and 31st in the region in the education and learning index. ARU comes considering the common interest between the League of Arab States, the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO), the Union of Arab Universities, and the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils to improve the outcomes of higher education and scientific research.
The ARU ranking criteria was established in accordance with a selected set of global standards that are consistent with the Arab states environment and based on four Indices consistent with the vision and needs of Arab countries, which are the education and learning index, the scientific research index, the creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation index, and the international and national cooperation and community service index.
