On Monday, December 9th, 2024, the College of Engineering and Technology at Smart Village Campus hosted its 3rd Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) meeting, headed by H.E. Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghafar (President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport), H.E. Eng. Sabah Mashaly (Deputy Minister of the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy), Prof. Yasser El-Sonbaty (Vice President for Education and Students Affairs), and Prof. Mona Moussa (Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology - Smart Village Campus - AASTMT).
This year’s discussion revolved around the theme, "AI to Collaborate, Not to Replace" emphasizing how artificial intelligence can enhance and support human potential rather than replace it.
Board members shared thoughtful insights on how AI can work alongside professionals to streamline processes, foster creativity, and unlock new solutions to complex problems.
The conversation also turned to the future of education, with an emphasis on ensuring students are prepared for a world where technology complements their skills.
The board meeting provided a space for everyone to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and look at new ways to strengthen the connection between industry and academia.
