In 1990, the college of engineering was first established at AASTMT’s Abou Qir campus and about 30 years later, we are witnessing the dawn of our newest campus in new Alamein city since 2020. As the Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, it is an immense pleasure and honor to continue this institute's success and lead the region in delivering world-class education.
The new Alamein campus is built on approximately 62 acres of land and has a staggering student capacity of 10,000. It encompasses 8 buildings- 4 of which belong to the College of Engineering and Technology. The smart campus makes good use of IoT and other technological advances. Moreover, an Innovation Hub will serve our students, guests and industries. It specializes in research and development of social problems.
The faculty of engineering at the new Alamein campus offers 10 bespoke international programs through dual degrees with the University of Central Lancashire "UCLan" of UK and multiple concentrations in:
Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design,
Construction Engineering,
Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering,
Mechanical-Mechatronics-Automotive Engineering,
Electronics Engineering,
Industrial Management Engineering,
Electrical Energy Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Biomediac, Aerospace and Computer Engineering.
Furthermore, there are numerous minors offered which include but are not limited to entrepreneurship, mathematics, environmental science and artificial intelligence. Engineering students will have the opportunity to benefit from our dual-degree program which prepares our students to be awarded an international degree besides the accredited Egyptian degree.
AASTMT's vision is to emerge as a regional leader in STEAM education, which helps us turn our vision into reality and ensure distinguished curiosity-driven learning environment for our students via state of the art, fully equipped laboratories and facilities.
We hope to inspire the community by the entrepreneurial culture that fostered at CoET-Alamein, which prepares our engineering graduates to fulfill lives and advance their productive careers.
