The university of Central Lancashire-UK "UCLan" was established in 1828 as the Preston Institution for the Diffusion of Knowledge, and became the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in 1992.

The university of Central Lancashire-UK is a modern university with nearly 200 years of experience and it is one of the UK’s largest universities (6th ) with a student and staff community approaching 38,000 from 120 nationalities.
