Experts Talk "Optimal use of energy for sustainable development"

The College of Engineering and Technology - Deanship of Prof. Dr. / Akram Suleiman Al-Salami - at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport at the main headquarters witnessed a unique event, which is the “Experts Speak” forum. The event was organized by the Electrical & Control Engineering Departmet, AASTMT Abu Kir Campus, The National Youth Council, Eduvate educational platform, and the student branch of the Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE AAST Alex SB, where the forum was under the slogan:
 Optimal use of energy for sustainable development.
The forum took place on Thursday, March 16, 2023, in the presence of Schneider Electric as a main partner in this event, sponsored by EMAS-Egypt and GEWISS, and supported by the Deanship of Practical Research and Innovation and the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
The activities of the forum included a distinguished group of experts, engineers, and a group of distinguished companies in the management of smart engineering solutions in the field of electrical power engineering, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hisham Saudi, the head of the Alexandria Engineers Syndicate, and Eng. Amr Al-Baghdadi Real Estate & Retail Segments Senior Manager NEA & LEVANT at Schneider Electric. In the presence of 200 young engineers from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria University and the Japanese University.
The forum included many lectures in the field of specialization, which included a lecture on electric power stations and future projects for power generation in Egypt and the Gulf, which was delivered by Engineer / Mohamed Al Hamshari, Commissioning Manager at Al Sewedy Company, and a lecture on smart grids and how to develop projects and infrastructure for institutions to keep pace with the needs of the labor market and the directions of countries to rationalize and control consumption And the techniques of electric car chargers, delivered by Eng. Mohamed Tharwat, Specifiers Sales Senior Manager For NEA & Levant Cluster, Schneider Electric.
In addition, Eng. Shadi Salah, Senior Channel Marketing Engineer for NEAL, at Schneider Electric, gave a lecture on the development of electrical panels and their support with innovative technologies for smart buildings. Engineer Omar Hisham, Project Engineer at Al Suwaidi Company, gave a lecture on how to prepare CVs for engineers to work in companies. The forum concluded with a scientific competition among the students, and Schneider Electric distributed prizes to the winners.
