Objectives

  • This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the modern history of the Arab world, focusing on the political, social, and economic transformations from the early 19th century to the present day. It explores the impact of foreign interventions, the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the rise of Arab nationalism, and the formation of modern Arab states. Through critical analysis of historical events and ideologies, students will develop the ability to evaluate the driving forces behind contemporary developments in the Arab region.
