The 60th Meeting of Training Managers at Maritime Authorities and Companies
On Monday, June 3, 2024, Professor. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute, met with training managers from Egyptian maritime authorities and companies at the institute's headquarters. This meeting marked the 60th general meeting of training managers from Egyptian port authorities and companies involved in the port industry.
The meeting included discussions on the requirements and needs of these authorities and companies regarding the qualification and training of their human resources, in light of the training programs offered by Port Training Institute . Additionally, the meeting highlighted the cooperation in training between the Port Training Institute and Sea Ports Corporation, Sudan, with a delegation from the Sudanese Maritime Ports Authority attending the event.
The recommendations emphasized the importance of training for maritime industry workers, particularly the practical aspects included in the training programs to enhance trainees' skills. The role of workshops in addressing current topics was also highlighted as it helps keep pace with events and changes in the ports and maritime transport sector.
It is noteworthy that Port Training Institute, affiliated to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, actively contributes to training human resources at both local and regional levels through distinguished training and qualification programs that meet the requirements of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
