International Olympiad in Informatics in Teams (IIOT)

Overview

The International Olympiad in Informatics in Teams (IIOT) is an international team-based programming competition that promotes collaboration, algorithmic thinking, and advanced programming skills among secondary school students.

Unlike individual Olympiads, IIOT emphasizes teamwork, communication, and collaborative problem-solving in an international competitive environment.

 

Objectives

IIOT aims to:

RIC’s Role

The Regional Informatics Center (RIC) has played a leading role in:

  • Hosting and organizing IIOT in Egypt.
  • Coordinating participating teams.
  • Preparing Egyptian teams.
  • Delivering technical training programs.
  • Supporting international collaboration in competitive programming.

Through hosting IIOT and preparing participating teams, RIC has strengthened Egypt’s position as a regional center for competitive programming while expanding international cooperation in computer science education.
