The following milestones reflect RIC’s continuous commitment to excellence, innovation, and shaping the next generation of technology leaders.

 

2026

  • Global MATE ROV Triumph (Canada)
    The Triton Team, representing AASTMT and Egypt, achieved 1st Place in the Arab World and 3rd Place Worldwide at the MATE ROV World Championship held in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

 

  • National Media Recognition
    Following this remarkable achievement, the Triton Team was featured on MBC MASR, highlighting Egypt’s international success in underwater robotics and showcasing the team’s outstanding performance on a national platform.

 

  • MATE ROV Egypt 2026
    Successfully organized the MATE ROV Egypt Regional Competition at AASTMT Abu Qir Campus, bringing together university teams from across Egypt and qualifying the top teams for the MATE ROV World Championship.

 

  • InnoBots League 2026
    Successfully launched the first edition of InnoBots League, introducing competition tracks in Programming, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Scratch, Problem Solving, and Web Development, while encouraging creativity, innovation, and teamwork among students.

 

  • Navigator STEM Workshop
    Organized the Navigator Workshop – Building STEM Skills, Reaching the World, providing hands-on STEM education and practical engineering experience as part of RIC’s commitment to preparing future innovators.

 

  • Robotics & ROV Training Programs
    Expanded specialized training programs in Robotics, Underwater Robotics (ROV), Artificial Intelligence, and Engineering Design, equipping students with practical technical skills and preparing them for national and international competitions.

 

  • Empowering Future Innovators

 2025

  • MATE Egypt ROV Regional Competition
    Successfully organized and hosted the MATE Egypt ROV Regional Competition 2025 at AASTMT Abu Qir Campus, bringing together university teams from across Egypt and qualifying the top-performing teams for the MATE ROV World Championship.

 

  • Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO 2025)
    Prepared and supervised Egypt’s national programming team for participation in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO 2025), one of the world’s leading programming olympiads for high school students.

 

  • National Olympiad Training Programs
    Continued training and mentoring Egypt’s top students for participation in international informatics competitions, including IOI, APIO, EGOI, and other regional programming olympiads.

 

  • Programming, Robotics & AI Training
    Expanded specialized training programs in Programming, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, and STEM Education, providing practical hands-on learning for school and university students.

 

  • Technical Workshops & Summer Camps

2024

  • 36th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2024)
    Under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, AASTMT proudly organized the 36th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2024) in Alexandria, welcoming the world’s top young programmers and reinforcing Egypt’s position as a global destination for technology and innovation.

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics Committee Meeting
    Successfully hosted the International Committee Meeting of the IOI in Alexandria, bringing together international delegates to finalize preparations for the 36th International Olympiad in Informatics.

 

  • International Advanced Informatics Championship (IATI 2024)
    Egypt achieved 12 medals at the International Advanced Informatics Championship (IATI 2024) held in Bulgaria, competing against participants from 18 countries.

 

  • InfoCup 2024
    Egypt won 4 Silver Medals at the 8th InfoCup for Competitive Programming held in Romania, demonstrating the outstanding performance of the national programming teams.

 

  • European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI 2024)
    The Egyptian team won 1 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medals, continuing its remarkable achievements in international programming competitions.

 

  • RoboCup International 2024
    An AASTMT team achieved 3rd Place Worldwide at RoboCup International 2024 in Eindhoven, Netherlands, representing Egypt with distinction in autonomous robotics.

 

  • Egypt Robotics Cup 2024
    Successfully organized the Egypt Robotics Cup, bringing together outstanding robotics teams from schools and universities with the support of Telecom Egypt and EG-CERT.

 

  • Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC 2024)
    Organized the 24th ECPC, attracting approximately 3,000 teams, 12,000 students, and participants from 123 universities, making it one of the largest programming competitions in the region.

 

  • International Programming Championship
    Egypt hosted the International Programming Championship in Luxor, strengthening international collaboration and providing Egyptian students with greater exposure to world-class competitive programming.

 

  • National Programming Excellence
    Continued preparing and mentoring Egypt’s national teams for international Olympiads and programming competitions through specialized training camps and advanced technical programs.

 

2023

  • International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2023)
    Egypt won 4 Bronze Medals at the 35th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) held in Hungary, followed by an official reception honoring the Egyptian delegation.

 

  • MATE ROV World Championship
    The AASTMT team achieved 3rd Place Worldwide at the MATE ROV World Championship held in the United States, representing Egypt with excellence in underwater robotics.

 

  • European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI 2023)
    Egypt won 4 Bronze Medals at the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics held in Sweden.

 

  • Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC 2023)
    Successfully organized the 26th Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) in Luxor, welcoming more than 150 teams representing 15 Arab and African countries.

 

  • Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC 2023)
    Successfully organized the national finals of ECPC 2023 at AASTMT Abu Qir Campus in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the International ICPC Foundation.

 

  • Egypt Robot Cup 2023
    Successfully organized the Egypt Robot Cup, with the participation of 830 students from schools and universities and the support of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA).

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics for Teams (IIOT 2023)
    Hosted the 6th International Olympiad in Informatics for Teams (IIOT) at the AASTMT Port Said Campus with international participation.

 

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2023)
    Successfully organized the 16th Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics, identifying and preparing Egypt’s top programming talents for international competitions.

 

  • Egyptian ROV Competition
    Organized the Egyptian ROV Competition at AASTMT Abu Qir Campus, bringing together university teams from across Egypt and qualifying the best teams for international participation.

 

  • Beaver Egypt 2023
    Successfully concluded the Beaver Egypt Competition, with the participation of more than 85,000 students from all Egyptian governorates, making it one of the country’s largest computational thinking initiatives.

 

  • International Programming & Innovation Initiatives
    Continued expanding Egypt’s presence in international programming competitions and innovation initiatives through specialized training, international partnerships, and advanced educational programs.

 

2022

  • International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC 2022)
    The AASTMT team achieved 1st Place across Africa and the Arab World at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC 2022), organized by Asia Pacific University, Bangladesh.

 

  • Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC 2022)
    The AASTMT team won 1st Place at ECPC 2022, qualifying for the Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC).

 

  • Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO 2022)
    Egypt won a Silver Medal at the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO), continuing its strong international performance.

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2022)
    Egypt won 2 Bronze Medals at the 34th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) held in Indonesia.

 

  • InfoCup 2022
    Egypt achieved 6 Medals (2 Silver & 4 Bronze) at the 6th InfoCup for Competitive Programming held in Romania.

 

  • RoboCup Bangkok 2022.
    The AASTMT team achieved 1st Place at RoboCup Bangkok and received the Best Video Super Team Award in the Rescue Maze category.

 

  • Egyptian ROV Competition 2022
    Successfully organized the Egyptian ROV Competition at AASTMT Abu Qir Campus, where leading university teams competed for qualification to the international championship.

 

  • International ROV Competition
    Egyptian teams participated in the international MATE ROV competition through the Telepresence format. AASTMT achieved 2nd Place Internationally, while Alexandria University secured 3rd Place. AASTMT also received awards for Best Technical Report and Best Technical Presentation.

 

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2022)
    Successfully organized the Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics following nationwide qualification rounds to select Egypt’s top programming talents.

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics for Teams (IIOT 2022)
    Hosted the International Olympiad in Informatics for Teams (IIOT) at the AASTMT Port Said Campus.

 

  • National Programming & STEM Training
    Organized Beaver Challenge training, technical camps, robotics workshops, and programming bootcamps, training hundreds of students and preparing national teams for international competitions.

 

2021

  • Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC 2021)
    The AASTMT team achieved 1st Place at ECPC 2021.

 

  • Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC 2021)
    The AASTMT team achieved 1st Place at ACPC and qualified for the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC).

 

  • Egyptian ROV Competition 2021
    Successfully organized the Egyptian ROV Competition at AASTMT Abu Qir Campus with the participation of 22 university teams from across Egypt.

 

  • International ROV Competition
    Egyptian teams qualified for international participation through the national competition. AASTMT achieved 2nd Place Internationally, while Alexandria University secured 3rd Place.

 

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2021)
    Successfully organized the Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics at the AASTMT Alamein Campus following nationwide qualification rounds.

 

  • Beaver Challenge 2021
    Delivered nationwide Beaver Challenge training programs, providing advanced programming education for hundreds of students.

 

  • National Programming Team Development
    Continued preparing Egyptian students for regional and international Olympiads through intensive technical training camps and mentoring programs.

 

  • STEM & Robotics Education
    Expanded educational initiatives in Robotics, Programming, Artificial Intelligence, and STEM through workshops, camps, and project-based learning activities.

 

2020

  • UWR Challenge ROV 2020
    Successfully organized the first UWR Challenge ROV at the AASTMT Abu Qir Campus with the participation of 20 university teams.

 

  • Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC 2020)
    The AASTMT team achieved 1st Place at ECPC 2020.

 

  • Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC 2020)
    Qualified to participate in the Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC), representing AASTMT among the region’s top programming teams.

 

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2020)
    Successfully organized the Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics at the AASTMT Abu Qir Campus.

 

  • Continuity of Technical Education
    Continued organizing programming competitions, robotics activities, and technical training programs despite global challenges, maintaining RIC’s commitment to developing future technology leaders.

 

2019

  • Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC 2019)
    The AASTMT team achieved 1st Place at the Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC).

 

  • International ROV Competition
    AASTMT achieved 2nd Place Internationally, while Alexandria University secured 3rd Place in the international underwater robotics competition.

 

  • RoboCup Junior Egypt 2019
    Successfully organized the RoboCup Junior Egypt Competition at the AASTMT Abu Qir Campus, promoting robotics education among school students.

 

2018

  • Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC 2018)
    The AASTMT team achieved 1st Place at the Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest.

 

  • International ROV Competition
    AASTMT achieved 2nd Place Internationally, while Alexandria University secured 3rd Place.

 

  • RoboCup Junior Egypt 2018
    Successfully organized the RoboCup Junior Egypt Competition, encouraging young students to explore robotics and engineering.

 

2017

  • Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC 2017)
    Successfully organized the 19th ACM Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).

 

  • International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC)
    Nine qualified teams advanced to the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Finals in the United States after outstanding performance at ACPC.

 

2016

  • Technology Education & Student Development
    Continued supporting robotics, competitive programming, and STEM education through national training programs, workshops, and student development initiatives.

 

2015

  • RoboCup Education & Robotics Research

2008

  • International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2008)
    Successfully organized the 20th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2008) in Egypt, marking one of the most significant milestones in RIC’s history.

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics Achievement
    Egypt won a Bronze Medal at IOI 2008.

 

  • FIRST LEGO League (FLL)
    Achieved 3rd Place nationally, followed by winning the Distinction & Challenge Cup, as well as awards for Best Project and Best Coaching in the Arab World.

 

  • International Participation
    Participated in the International Beaver Committee (BEBRAS) meeting and the International Conference on Informatics in Secondary Schools (ISSEP).

 

  • Robocon
    Supervised and prepared Egyptian teams for participation in the International Robocon Competition.

 

2007

  • ACM International Programming Competition
    The Academy was selected to host the ACM International Programming Competition.

 

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2007)
    Successfully organized the 5th Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI).

  • Digital Divide Conference
    Successfully organized the Second Informatics Conference “Digital Divide”.

 

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2006)
    Organized the 4th Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics and the 4th Informatics Competition for Students with Special Needs.

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2006)
    Egypt won a Bronze Medal at IOI 2006.

 

  • Robocon 2006
    Achieved 1st and 2nd Place nationally and represented Egypt at the International Robocon Competition.

  • TopCoder World Ranking
    Achieved 7th Place in the TopCoder international competition among more than 310 competitors.

 

  • Informatics Conference
    Successfully organized the Informatics Conference “Between Ingenuity and Creativity.”

 

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2005)
    Organized the 3rd Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics and the Informatics Competition for Students with Special Needs.

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2005)
    Egypt won its first Bronze Medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics.

 

  • ACM Programming Competition
    Achieved 3rd Place and received the Best Programmer Award.

    Successfully organized Egypt’s first national robotics competition for school students in cooperation with the British Council and the University of Sheffield.

    Achieved 2nd and 3rd Place nationally.

    Became a founding member of the International Beaver Informatics Competition Committee.

 

2004

  • Syrian Olympiad in Informatics (SOI 2004)
    Successfully organized the first Syrian Olympiad in Informatics.

 

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2004)
    Organized the 2nd Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics and the Informatics Competition for Students with Special Needs.

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)
    Supervised the Egyptian national team and received official approval to host IOI 2008 in Egypt.

 

  • ACM Programming Competition
    Achieved 5th Place.

 

  • Robocon 2004
    Achieved 1st and 4th Place, received the Best Innovation Award, and represented Egypt internationally.

    Participated in the Qatar International Hi-Tech Exhibition and Conference.

  • Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI 2003)
    Successfully organized and hosted the 1st Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics.

 

  • Special Needs Informatics Competition
    Organized Egypt’s first Informatics Competition for Students with Special Needs.

 

  • ACM Programming Competition
    Achieved 4th Place and ranked as the 3rd Best Technological University.

 

  • Robocon 2003
    Won the top three national positions and represented Egypt internationally.

 

  • Arab Conference on Information Technology (ACIT)
    Participated in organizing the Fourth Arab International Conference on Information Technology.

 

2002

  • Arab Open Olympiad in Informatics (AOI 2002)
    Successfully organized and hosted the first Arab/Open Olympiad in Informatics.

 

  • Quanta International Competition
    Achieved 2nd Place internationally.

 

  • International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2002)
    Egypt officially participated in IOI, while RIC gained international recognition from the IOI Committee.

 

  • International Recognition
    RIC obtained a seat on the International Olympiad in Informatics Committee for three consecutive years.

 

  • National Partnership
    Signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to launch the first Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics.
